• Supreme performance ensured by 309 kW/420 hp from 4.0 litres.

• Upgraded MSS60 engine control unit for optimum coordination of all engine functions with the various control systems in the car.

• Ion flow technology recognising and distinguishing engine knocking phenomena as well as misfiring and miscombustion by measurement of ion flow in the combustion chambers.

Awesome! Why do the headers glow red-hot during testing? I don't imagine that happens when driving the car, does it?

Just wait for the FI setup on the RS4... :)

I still wish BMW would put some real torque numbers down for these HP numbers. 420hp/420tq...that would be a motor :drool:

The way BMW is making the current M engines, allows them to be more responsive. Geared correctly, the lower torque doesn't matter at all.
