Very true... I can't wait to see the comments when the new 7er comes out...

Those should be interesting... ;)

Its amazing all of a sudden how dated the E46 looks like when its pitted directly against the E92...

Well I owned an E46 M3 before I bought the 4.8, and I will honestly say I like the E92........only thing I would have liked to see are more pronounced/flared fenders similar to those on the outgoing model. Other than that, this looks like a pretty natural evolution of the M3.......and this thing will be a beast on the road with that V8!

I am hittin up the NY Auto Show next week........anyone know if there is any chance the concept will be there?

Has BMW decided that 4.5-4.8 is where the M's 0-60 pretty much stays? I ask because I would think a V8 with 90 more horsepower and more torque would do better then the exact same 4.8 to 60mph as the E46M3.

Is it me or is the M3 front spoiler a little grotesque? The center intake looks out of harmony with the lines of the hood and the front grill.

One thing nice about M3's and most all Bimmers - if you don't like how it looks, you can mod the hell out of it. The aftermarket will be huge for the E90 M3 as it is it's predecessors.

It is also HUGELY expensive to mod a E46 M3, I remember by a "muffler" for mine cost like $1,400.00.....a muffler, not pipes..just a muffler.

If you don't already know, 0-60 times arent the best determinant of acceleration potential. There's gearing, traction, powerband characteristics, and power all factored into getting the time.

I bet the new M3 will be faster thru the quarter mile and also for 0-130mph!

I'm waiting for them to stuff the new v8 into the MZ4 coupe or roadster. :woot:

Isn't it the top end where the new M cars pull away? Say 100 mph +?

I think I remember reading that the E60 M5 pulls like crazy at high speeds, and the E39 doesn't have a chance...
