Dyno results from Procede V2 for 335i

400+whp/420+wtq!
Procede V2 ,Vishnu Cat back exhaust , and 98 Octane fuel Mix. The dynos show Stock hp without Vishnu Catback exhaust and then with Procede V2 added on - this car is a beast!

Then the motor went BANG. If it could reliably make those power numbers over time, BMW would have made it that way from the factory. They aren't out to build crap rides

Yeah, that's what I was wondering too - how much more can it take.
Although, V1 has been around a year or so (?) and I haven't read any cases of blown motors - I think one of the member here (SAN?) has it installed. V2 is certainly more extreme and seems to be tripping more codes. Time will tell.

Give them time, I'm sure numbers in the mid 300s are fine, but up in the 400's....I wouldn't be doing that every day in a daily driver...but that is just me.

I hope your maps aren't for 98, or you have the ability switch between multiple ones..

Agree with Wagner that anything beyond 350whp for a dd is pointless. How much did you make with the lude Ryan?

GUINNESS 11-16-2007 05:17 PM

Bah... I'm waiting for someone to tune the 335 to 600hp. There's a guy who turbo'd an e36 M3 and is putting down around 600.... and it's a DD.

Lude was running around 230whp on 7psi w/o the 50 shot. Remember that thing is FWD so torque steer was crazy. I upgraded the suspension and brakes, something I'm almost guaranteeing these guys aren't doing when they throw that chip in.

That is nothing, guys were taking I6 Supras and making 1000whp routinely...nuts if you ask me and unless it is ONLY for the track, pointless. You can't corner with 1000whp, so what is the point for a DD?

Mid 300's IMO is a solid HP standpoint and remember that is a WHP number. Heck, my 350Z was putting 260whp down with minor upgrades, no FI and no internal mods......that car was awesome.

Why? You guys are forgetting that a key to being fast at the track, is balance. These cars weren't designed to put down 600hp. It'd be useless unless you went to a dragstrip, which is pointless in itself.

7000+ miles already on v2 and I have intercooler upgrades.. where's the bang??? The bottom end and top end are both very strong and built of boost. BMW detuned the 335 motor so they don't have to further tune the normally aspirated V8 in the M3 and have it way overrun the M5. It's all marketing. I'm making over 450hp BTW and it's my daily driver and if you don't on it too hard, 28 mpg.
