Yes.
In New England 73% of covid19 hospitalizations were fully vaccinated (both shots more than 14 days prior) and the rest were unvaccinated (none, one or both vaccines less than 14 days prior)

That ref is the anomaly of the large family gathering awhile ago, not some broad sweep stat that would suggest 74% of people that received the shots are in the hosptial...

Here in Western NC, the rate of hospitalization of those that have received the shots less than 21% in the state's blather of 'data'.

Another area that I do follow closely is Sarasota County where we spend winters:

Sarasota County hospitals report that the Covid hospitalization rate for Those Without Any Shots is 84% and has held steady at 81-84% since they started keeping close stats a year plus ago.

I don't give a damn if EDOGuy, Happy, Purplecty, et al don't get/don't have the shots. Good Fookin Luck if you don't.

That was NOT a large family gathering as you put it, but was after a beach party over the summer (mostly gays) and was 117 people... big family [emoji849]

By the way.... Sarasota is at 76% fully vaccinated for ages 12 and above but your numbers are suspect as Sarasota doesn't list the breakdown of hospitalizations vaccinated/unvaccinated. If you are going by SMH's website they are "a" hospital not the number makers for the entire county.

Hospitalized or not the virus appears not to discriminate between vaccinated and unvaccinated...

Do you not require all your soldiers to put on their helmet when they are in a battlefield?

Personal freedom doesn't play into this? You're welcome for exercising the freedoms I paid for, but don't think using it to enforce your wishes on others was part of the package...

Cool analogy bro, now remove your vaccine when you leave the dangerous location like a helmet when you leave the battlefield......

Very true, although it does seem to bypass those who had covid before.

“More than 7,00 breakthrough cases of Covid-19 that have resulted in death have been reported to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention through October 12. By that time, more than 187 million people in the US were fully vaccinated. That's one out of every 26,000 fully vaccinated people who has died of Covid-19, or 0.004%.
Of those breakthrough cases resulting in death, 85% were among people age 65 and older and 57% were among men, according to the CDC.

CDC data also show that the risk of dying from Covid-19 is more than 11 times higher for unvaccinated adults than it is for vaccinated adults throughout August. Among seniors, who are more susceptible to severe Covid-19, that gap is smaller. Among those 80 and older, the risk of dying from Covid-19 in August was about five times higher among unvaccinated people than among fully vaccinated people.”.

Very misleading quote taken out of context.

Virus does not discriminate, but vaccine protects you from hospitalization and death. Failed to put that in, didn’t you?
