Kinda like the ones that think Obama could run it now :bustingup Dems should flip their ticket.

Rumor has it that Biden is bowing out in October for "medical conditions" so Hillary can run.

Doesn't matter how she was treated at all. What matters is how prepared you are, How much knowledge you have and how you use both to intelligently answer the questions no matter who's asking them.

Not everyone who does an interview is going to be "kind" so to speak. Weather it's "Couric" or someone else; Some people are going to get right to the point. If she can't handle it then she should do her home work.

Hail his outspokenness: (“You say what's on your mind and I think people appreciate that.”)

Ignore obvious factual/historical flubs: (Biden: “When the stock market crashed, Franklin Roosevelt got on television...”) FDR was not in office at the time of the 1929 crash and his "fireside chats" were on the radio.

Relay as reality positive campaign spin about his attributes: (“Relating to the fears of the average American is one of Biden's strong suits.”)

Cue up campaign rally attendees to praise: (“What was it about what he said that really resonated with you in particular?” Answers: “I think he expressed what most working Americans feel at the moment. He seems to relate to our pain.” and “I want him in office because I believe he will do things for women.”)

Empathize with the challenge he faces at the upcoming debate: (“Are you worried you're going to have to pull your punches a bit because of her gender and you don't want to seem like you're bullying her? It's a different dynamic when it's a male/female thing, isn't it?

I'm not a Republican but I think she handled the snotty little Couric (who REALLY isn't very smart) very well. Look at both interviews and Palin comes off as a genuis compared to Biden.

I would generally agree, however..BUSH got elected twice knowing nothing.

Funny thing...I heard the same about Palin... but for family reasons.

Five bucks says Palin bails first.

Really, how so? Because he got people to vote? You're kidding right? Don't confuse a good speaker with leadership. But with the current economy I feel better if the decision is made to elect Obama. With all the money spent, I don't have to worry about the social programs or any tax changes.

Quicksilver 09-26-2008 05:55 PM

You feel better?

Do us a favor. Tell us all that you honestly believe Palin has more leadership qualities and skills than Obama?

She has actually been an executive of a city and state. Enough said. What executive government experience does Obama have? That whole "experience" argument is not valid for the Dems right now. They should focus on being different, not being in Washington their entire life (Biden, keep your mouth quiet) and how much they understand the pains of the middle class. Going on experience tangents is a losing argument for the Dems and if people can't see that, they just aren't looking or don't want to see.

The last thing Dems should do is tout experience when they have controlled Congress for the last two years and accomplished nothing but a lower approval rating then Bush.
