Yes they are senators but they are NOT part of the committee that was discussing the proposal.
As senators, their job is to vote on the bill not to sabotage the negotiations while offering no alternative.

Nope I am not, but I've been following the news all day yesterday and it seemed that things were going along very well and announcements were made that they agreed in principle on the package. They seemingly agreed on the accountability part, the executive pay condition, and other things that both parties spoke about. After the meeting with the president things fell apart.
I wasn't in the room but the only variable was the candidates.

Hmm, so you're staking that opinion on what you 'heard' from Dems exiting the Capital :)

Then you should have mentioned both of them in your earlier comment.

did I say he personally accomplished something? Last I checked the Dems were still trying to figure it out :)

So are the Republicans. But it was the big chief McCain who had to charge to the front lines as if he was going to solve the problem single handed.

NO DEBATE TILL THIS IS SETTLED!!! Hahaha give me a brake. Even the uninformed ("Me") can see the humor in his attempt to get a leg up and no excuse that anyone around here can make is going to erase this keystone cop caper!!! :bustingup :bustingup :bustingup
