If anything they should be apologizing for having to do this. But, we are now socialist so bring on the government healthcare so I can stop covering my employees :tsk:

I kept hoping last night when Biden brought up government provided health care that Palin would ask America if they wanted their doctors visits to resemble a visit to the DMV.

The question I have is

Does this mean all the people that have NOT defaulted on house payments get a break too? Maybe we can get a bill passed to help Americans that struggle but manage to get by? If this bill is for Americans that got burned, how about everyone else?

"The United States is ranked #37 as a health system by the World Health Organization."

For being the most powerful nation on this planet, our health-care system sucks. Yeah, countries such as GB, Canada, France, etc., tax the hell out of their citizens, but the minute they walk into a hospital for any kind of help (whether it be a $1 medical expense, or a $500,000 medical expense), they literally walk out of that hospital with nary a bill to pay.

We have some of the best doctors in the world, right here in the great USofA, but anyone would be very naive to think that other countries do not rival us in regards to doctors / health-care / etc.

Because it helps protect those corporations who helped fund said lawmakers election campaigns.

Something I've been trying to figure out is how can people who don't like universal healthcare is voting for Obama.

For example, my co-worker, I asked her because she just came back from vacation, I was told that she went back to canada to visit family since she's from there. Now, I dated a girl once and she had family there and when she visited, I wasn't able to go but my ex told me that its beautiful there, yadda, yadda, yadda...so I told my co-worker that man, I should have gone when I had the chance and that I may want to move there some day.

Guess what she said. No way, she likes it here better. She told me that whenever people have some serious healthcare issues, they cross the border and come here to the US to get treated. Universal health care sucks...but then when I asked her who she's voting for...she said Obama...I JUST DON'T GET IT!

Let me tell you the reality behind the universal health care system.

Personal experience. When I was living in Canada, I and one other family member went to the emergency room late evening. Came out in the morning without ever seeing a doctor, waiting over 8 hours. We kept asking the nurses when the doctor's going to be there to which they replied 'we don't know'. At around 8 hours of waiting, I again pleadingly asked a nurse how much longer she thinks we needed to stay there just approximately, even a guesstimate is all we wanted, and the nurse replies 'it could be hours... we don't know anything'. :(
We got out of the emergency room after signing a waiver...

If that's the health care system you envision, then by all means..
