__________________________________________________ _____
This is a story that I heard on the radio about 10 men who had dinner and paid for it in the same manner as you would pay your income tax. A Professor of Economics from the University of Georgia created this to help explain the Income Tax and how cutting taxes works.

It seemed that 10 men decided to have a business lunch once a week. They always met in the same restaurant and the bill was always, $100.00, for all 10 men. If each man was responsible for his share of the bill that would be, $10.00, each. The men decided to divide the bill based upon their ability to pay. Using an agreed upon formula the following payment arraignment was worked out based upon income.

Men 1-4 who made the least amount of money paid nothing.

Man 5 paid $ 1.00

Man 6 paid $ 3.00

Man 7 paid $ 7.00

Man 8 paid $12.00

Man 9 paid $18.00

Man 10 paid $59.00

After several weeks the owner of the restaurant told the men that because they were such good customers he was reducing the bill by $20.00. Their delimina was how to divide up the, $20.00. If each person got the same amount then the first 4 men would be getting money back but they never paid anything for the dinners. After much discussion and no resolve the owner offered the following suggestion which they all agreed to.

Original Payment New Payment $ Amount Saved % Saved

Men 1-4 paid $ 0.00 $ 0.00 $0.00 0%

Man 5 paid $ 1.00 $ 0.00 $1.00 100%

Man 6 paid $ 3.00 $ 2.00 $1.00 33%

Man 7 paid $ 7.00 $ 5.00 $2.00 28%

Man 8 paid $12.00 $ 9.00 $3.00 25%

Man 9 paid $18.00 $14.00 $4.00 22%

Man 10 paid $59.00 $50.00 $9.00 15%

Once out side the men began to argue about the settlement. Man 5 said he only got, $1.00, while Man 10 received, $9.00. Men 1-4 were upset because the received nothing. They said that the cut only benefited the rich and the poor got nothing. They were upset so they beat up Man 10 and left him. The next week they met for lunch as usual except man 10 did not show up. When the new bill arrived the men discovered that between them they did not have enough money to pay even half of the bill.

In this story we see a simplified version of the Federal Income Tax. According to an article in the "New York Times" 80% of the taxes are paid by 20% of the people highest income people. Any time you have a tax cut the people who pay taxes are going to get the money. The next time you hear of a tax cut and the media tells you that the wealthy are getting all the money, remember they are paying the taxes.

Sorry my friend. Mr. Obama is not my namesake.
If he's taxing you, then he's taxing me also.
The difference between you and I is I don't let it worry me... "Why"?
Let me repeat for the record...........

Nothing has ever change in terms of leadership.
And nothing ever will no matter how long anyone
is in office. It's a self defeating rulership.

Here's another one:

Obama taxing the wealthy even more. So don't you worry Barry, your namesake is already taking care of making me pay more so that more lower income people can suck at the teat of the federal government.

Upper-income people would lose tax cuts in Obama plan - USATODAY.com

Sorry, but I guess I don't like getting fucked by the government so that others can free-load. Then next time the tax man comes by to try to get his pound of flesh from me can I send him your way considering you don't mind it? ;)

And I disagree with your comment. That's a huge cop-out to explain away Obama's b.s.

Thunder; Let's not get emotional, use profanity and
make it personal. Try to be civil if you can.;)

Yup that story story you heard on the radio about 10 men
is all good but I don't see none of those suits
or Professors of economics from wherever running for office.

What I do see is a lot of complaining. :bawling:
I honestly wish the complainers could be King
for a Day. I believe the complaining would stop when people
could see for themselves just how hard the job really is.

But Oh no lets not acknowledge any good being done
let's be productive and complain because things are
not going our way, or the way we believe it should go.

If you are that intent on Believing that your financial world
is coming to an end why not pack up your smart pills,
head to DC and give those stupid leaders of ours a hand.
But don't be getting disagreeable with me just because I don't
agree with some of your one sided Rhetoric....;)
I'm just not buying it.......

1 term or not we are doomed either way. Heard on TV the other day that Sarah Palin and McCain are most popular republicans. We need some new candidates for 2012.:(

You're "just not buying it" because as usual you're the definition of fanboy in denial. Whether you voted for him or not, you blindly defend Obama no matter what the topic.

Regarding profanity, fuck it, don't care.

Not being emotional, I leave that to you, I'm happily sitting on my couch, sipping a scotch and watching Sportscenter.

Personal? I can't control how you take things, if you don't want to get personal, don't take it personally. Problem solved.

Regarding your comment about the dinner: Is that really all you have to say? "i don't see them running for office"? Not very insightful. Maybe I expect too much.

What you are seeing is complaining. You're right, I tend to complain when I'm treated unfairly. Where you're wrong is the motivation.

Let me spell it out:

I'm against big government.

I'm against being unfairly taxed more than my share.

I'm for Americans being responsible for themselves instead of sucking on the Government teat.

I'm for people working and earning a wage instead of being lazy and collecting welfare (let me be clear here, some people need welfare, and it's there for them, it's not there for people as a habitual form of income when they could be working)

I'm for our leaders being truthful with me.

I'm against socialism.

I'm for freedom of religion.

I'm against extremists on the left and the right.

Bush was a mental midget.

Obama is teleprompter reading talking head.

Now, that's what I stand for.

Regarding your comment of helping our leaders: I've done just that, I've done what every American should do, and I voiced my opinion with my vote. That's how the system works. I've also contacted my local reps when I felt the need. So, that being said, thanks for the suggestion to "lend a hand", I already have.

What have you done besides drink the kool-aid?

Unfortunately, as the lefties did in the last few elections by voting for anyone as long as they were a democrat, I fear that republicans will do the same come November, no matter who is running.

We're in a very dark period in US politics right now, I don't think anyone has the answer for the fix. But I can tell you this, it isn't Socialism.

:iagree: I will send him that way too. Now I will just have to work harder to deduct everything and keep passing it down to those that don't mind.
