You would be right. But thats not the case. Donald is taking a subject that was proven, and bringing it up to the people who are simple minded and venerable to this subject. He exploits them for his own gain.

That makes it diffrent.

But the statement was made, so it is true. Trump criticized Obama, and then whoopie and quicksilver both said he was a racist.

Also, Obama never released this long form before. So why didn't he release it back in the day and put this whole ridiculous thing to bed back then?

On the other hand, Donald Trump is engaged in sedition for personal gain.

Whether one supports Obama's policies or not, the birther attacks seem absurd from the sidelines here.

Racist attacks make national news all the time. And whenever it's white on black crime Al and Jesse come running. They seem to be conveniently absent when it's the other way around.

Trump is involved in gamesmanship to let it be known that he's running for President before he can formally announce it. He's no different than any Democrat, Republican or any other politician, they all suck.

:iagree: and we would have had some other entertaining criticism....e.g. proof for how Obama got into Harvard or his parents were Americans. Boring 3 years. :D

We could discuss Obama's grades at Columbia and how he somehow got into Harvard law if you like :)

Imo, it's all stir the pot, typical political bs...but wtfdik?

Most of the politicos lose sight of what 'matters' about 20 mins after they are elected, and spend most of their time turning over rocks looking for 'things to fix' that they can pound their chests about, back at the local voting ranch.

The 'system' ain't woikin', imo. And, it is not going to get OK, or better, or 'work' anytime soon.

Back at the DNA Ranch, I could not care less about a person's pigmentation, as long as that person isn't trying to fook me, or my Fam, or friends, over.

My mother's father was one half Oglala Sioux...my mother was one quarter Oglala Sioux; I am "1/8th", but I don't walk around suggesting I am Native American.

We all 'came' from somewhere, and we all are what we are. Obama is not 'black': he is 'medium brown' at best. And, 50% non-black, whatever the hell that all means.

I don't subscribe to a label of being 1/8 Nat American, 1/2 Scot-American, etc. You get the idea.

Back on track, Trump is smart and cagey, but I will buy dinner, if he "goes all the way", in the process of trying to be nominated...

We all are what we are. If anything has taught me that, it is from my nearly world wide travels carrying the bag, and meeting people of all kinds, via work and, meets from this Board.

There are 2 reasons

#1 He didn't need to.
He submitted the required form to those who needed to know so that he could be sworn in and take office. It was acceptable to them and it should be acceptable to us.

#2 YouTube - Show Me Your Papers Negro
Anyone that doesn't understand this doesn't understand this countries continuing history.

Seriously? You're saying that something that happened in 1899 (that's 112 years ago for the math impaired) is still being practiced by white Americans today and that's why Obama is being asked to prove he's a US resident? Wow. Absolutely incredible. (btw- the irony of the stereotyping an entire race of people is not lost here).

Insinuating that white Americans don't understand that racism still exists in this country is ridiculous. of course it does. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that in the last 100 years race relations in America has improved. We have a black president for crying out loud, he sure as hell didn't get elected by only black people voting for him.

Should Bush have cried racism every time Whoopie Goldberg criticized him? "Whoopie hates me because I'm a white man". Sounds ridiculous doesn't it? So does Whoopie for calling Trump a racist.

Regarding point #1, you can't dictate what is acceptable to other people just because it's acceptable to you.

Long form vs. short form birth cert:

In some states and countries, there are two types of birth certificates. A long-form birth certificate is the copy of the actual certificate of birth on file with the locality where the birth took place. The short-form birth certificate is a notarized document stating that the long form certificate exists and is on file.

Place of Birth
The long form of a birth certificate gives details as to whether the birth took place in a hospital, birthing facility or home. The short form does not have this information.

That being said, how the hell did Obama get into Harvard Law with his poor grades at Columbia? (and before anyone cries racism, Bush was hammered over his grades at Yale for his entire Presidency)
