Are all 40d's delivered in Australia 8 speed?
can anyone confirm this? I am looking at a used 40d which was built in March 2010.

No I don't think they all are.. 2010 is likely a 6 speed.
Watrob will know & I'm sure he'll chime in at some stage.

I thought all LCI X5 should come with 8 speed transmission.
March 2010 should be a LCI unless it has 35d badges

If its a 40D, then yes it is LCI, and 8 speed ZF. Did you get it?

Get you/your wife to start dressing classier to match the car. I'm sick of cleaning blue jeans off the drivers seat weekly with oyster. I was speccing up a 40d, 3rd row at two dealers when Melbourne BMW came to me with a car I couldnt refuse - black 40D, 3rd row, side view, soft close, heated seats, tv, 20's ( I swapped to 21's ). I think all 40D's come with roof, innovations ( heads up, comfort access, tailgate, premium nav...) sport seats, side steps. Driving my old territory with the six speed ZF auto seems like such a clunker now.
