Steering wheel coating peeling

My vehicle has been cared extremely well, I was the first owner with extremely low KMs, now I notice the steering wheel coating is peeling, didn't expect this from a BMW.
What else am I expecting to peel ?

Are you talking about an E70? My switch for daytime running lights peeled but was covered under warranty.

leather lasts longer - on my E39 it started to crack after about 10-15 years...
