Cargo mat
The lip is about 1" to 1 1/2" high all around the edge but it is flexible and sort of conforms to the shape of the cargo area side walls. It is good quality material. It would take a lot to tear it...

I have the all weather mat
It has a lip all around the edge the keeps fluids and dirt from running over onto the carpet. It is a great add for the vehicle. We haul coolers and things back there so sometimes water can get...

New X5 Owner
My wife and I bought a new 2008 X5 3.0si about 5 weeks ago. Our experience has been great so far. No issues at all. This is our first BMW and I have to say it is a great ride.
