X5 just died, its on teh side of the road right now.

01 4.4, cranks right up and dies. feels like no gas flow. but if i give it gas it revs up like a mofo and dies as soon as i let go of the gas....

sounds more like a balance issue with those speeds. smooth at 70 right? if it were a hubcentric issue. the shake will get worst with higher speed

i had a simliar issue with a 318 before, although oil wasn't missing. the oil pump was clog, the pick up filter was filthy. the PO must had not changed the oil ever.
