That is what BMW will say but it is BS. If they put another transmission in they will send yours out to be rebuilt. They just don't rebuild them at the dealer. The just remove them and replace.

It happens on mine when the sun hits the sunshade and heats it up. The shade moves a bit when heated. I don't have the BMW shade but one with the two metal hoops.

I just got a letter today that the in-tank fuel pump delivery module warranty is being extended to 10 years without mileage limitation. This is for my 2010 X5 35d.
