Update: It was Sticky Lifters

Drove the sum'bich everyday since, changed the oil this past weekend and no more noise.

That's the sound I hear one I turn on the X. The ticking noise comes from engine bay and it gradually increases as I press the gas pedal. Kinda like the spinning wheel on a game show, faster it spins...
