My issue is when I start it cold and go into reverse the rpm's drop and it wants to stall but 10 min...

Ok so i have this 2002 X 5 3.0 with 142,000 miles on it

I have replaced O2 sensors, Oil crankcase seperator, PCV valve, Idle control valve and nothing has fixed the issue

Here is my thought...

OK cool just checking I think the thermo may just be sticking causing it to peg to red sometimes or maybe a sending unit

It does better when I start driving it verses sitting in the driveway

Torque converter or clutch causing my stalling in reverse and drive before warmed up?

OK please help been at MAG in Columbus Ohio with my X 5 with 143,000 miles on it

Symptons are if I start it up and the engine is cold when I put it in reverse or drive the rpm's drop below 500...

OK so I have a X5 with 143,000 miles on it

It has recently went to red while I am warming it up in driveway

I turn it off and it goes back to normal

It has done it while driving as well...

OK nice to see the same issue out there. I have a 2002 X5 3.0 and my issue is that the needle out of the blue will go all the way red but the car does not seem to get hot?

I am looking for a headlight assembly for my drivers side X5. The one I have has water behind it and I cannot get rid of it.

Needs to be in nice shape

I had a independent retired BMW guy work on my X5 and cannot fix it

NO codes at all and no check engine...
