If the vehicle is truly a 2002 with the original lights (none changed out in an accident or anything) then stick with the OEM lights and buy a set of DDI PPI from someplace like um nitza and get them...

Yeah the cutting wasn't the problem...my installer said it can be done but it would be so painful that why would you want to do it versus finding an olde set of lights? But if it's your only option...

Just retrofitted Xenon's to my X5 using lights from a 2002 vehicle which had factory Xenons. My 03 did not have Xenons and thus does not have the auto leveling for the lights...
