Resetting reading to fahrenheit

I had a new battery put in my 2002 BMW X5 3.0. My air condition as well as my outside temp is now reading celsius instead of fahrenheit. How can I change it back to fahrenheit? Thanks for any help!

It is a PPG windshield with the black area around the rear view mirror for the sensor, but there are no brackets or anything to attach it to. I think they used something like this sensor adhesive...

My sensor from the outside looks kind of purple and a little cloudy from the glue that it is attached on the windshield. The glue does not look perfectly smooth...

I just bought a 2002 X5 & when I put it in reverse it constantly beeps & I have to push the PDC button to make it stop. Very annoying!!! From the posts above it looks like something is not working....
