my mechanic opened up the oil cap, and looked at the chain....he said it was loose when i just driven in ....and he topped with oil, and let it idle for a while, and checked again,...

hey guys, need your help about timing chain!

hey all
recently i m hearing a noise from the timing chain....my mechanic had a look at it, and found the timing chain was loose, so he thought it was low in oil, so he added some oil and the chain...

i have a 03 4.6is, i started to hear some noise when i keep the rpm at 1500...its gone or less nosie when it drop to 1o00
could this be the transmission gears worn out?
