This issue is mainly related to the torque converter going bad. If you want to confirm, drive the same in SPORT mode, and you will not feel it.

Thanks guys for your replies. I used a heat gun and melted the back. I removed the plastic cover that I will put on my old lights. The plastic covers on those were scratched.

I tried all day to open a pair of headlight built on 10/02, and I was unsuccessful. I baked them for as long as 25 mins and as high of 285 degrees. The seal didn't melt. I did this before on my 01 X5...
