Anyone have any they'd like to share?

I have a secret push button start in my '04 that I use daily:

http://www.xoutpost.com/x5-e53-forum/21704-cool-push-button-start-all-x5s-3.htm

I'm now convinced that only the models with an automatic starter (where you don't have to keep the key cranked to start the engine, so 4.4i an above) can do this. From the Manual in the section on starting the engine:

X5 4.4i: You BMW is equipped with the convenience starting feature.

The starter acutation continues to operate automatically for a certain period of time and is stopped automatically as soon as the engine has started

A common often overlooked feature is the dc socket up in the passenger side footwell.

I have my phone charger plugged in there. Similar to what is on trunk passenger side.

How 'bout this one...

Fold down your rear seats and enjoy your exhaust music, especially if you have a modified exhaust. Pretty significant difference w/the seats down...

dont know if this only works with navigations..

but if u hold the BC(board computer) button on the turn signal lever where ud check the gas mileage and all that.. if u held that button for 5secs..the navigation screen shows u all the things that show up on that board computer...

so i cancelled everything out, so when i browse through the board computer, it only shows me date, time, and miles left to drive on my tank..
instead of like timer, mpg, arrival date and all that stupid stuff

I only found this out recently (This wasn't in my manual) so no making fun of me!

If you push the moonroof button up instead of sideways, it will go into a grill mesh mode for high speeds. The inner roof will go ajar and a mesh will spring out. Then the outer glass roof will tilt open. Way cool!!
