ISSUE HAS BEEN FIXED!
It appears when I inserted the new temperature sensor, it did not go in properly. I removed it and reinserted the sensor and voila! Issue is gone.

They had done some work to my previous BMWs...
They had done some work to my previous BMWs before and never had any issues. I hadn't gone there for the past 3 years and just went to them this week, but they didn't have time as they were too busy....

Guys,
My dilemma started when my X5 wouldn't start, so I figured I left something on and my battery drained. I jumped started the x5 and drove away no problem.
Next day battery drained again...
