If i got another mk3 unit to save $$, would I expect the same problem to happen...

i have the 6cd changer in the back, plus the...

i have the 6cd changer in the back, plus the 1-disc navigation disc drive. this morning i noticed that the 1 disc nav drive does not have its 'power' light lit when car is on, nor will it eject disc....
