Question Using LCI shock absorber on Pre-LCI model?

I've got a '08 X5 3.0si w/ standard suspension.

When replacing the shock absorbers, would it be ok to use the one on the facelifted model? There seems to be no change to the rear shock absorbers...

Not sure about the 8-speed AT, but the 6-speed doesn't start from 1st gear when it's in D. It starts from 2nd unless it's in D/S mode or you use the kickdown, in which case it starts from 1st gear...

With my car, it usually happens when I'm in reverse and turning the wheel in either ends makes the noise. It doesn't seem to do it when it's in drive, or at least not as much as in reverse.
