Yep, had the same problem (a full tank only showed 3/4). Finally took it in and the dealer (Dreyer and Reinbold BMW) replaced both in-tank fuel sensors.

I've had them on my 214s for over a year (about 19,000 miles on them, DWS). Zero complaints and maybe even a slight uptick in mileage. Quieter and smoother than the Dunlops. You cannot go wrong....
