I went today to have two front tires installed...

I went today to have two front tires installed that I purchased online, and the tire place refused to install it as it will damage the transfer case since they are all wheel drive. Any truth to this?

I strongly suggest getting an extended warranty. In two years of owning my X5 - I've had the well known transmission problems...And this repair alone makes the warranty worth the price.
