Thanks I wouldn't say I'm handy just basic DIY, my dad had the old 7 series 4.4 beast and learnt a lot by helping him when he used to work on it, plus I have two alfa so need to know the basics....

there are no engine lights on or flashing.

I can get the local garage to do a compression test for not alot so will give them a call Monday....

the ones on the X are nexens, not a brand i know, i will replace two tyres with a better brand and then replace the nexens at a later date. thats the plan lol!
