When you get the front driveshaft issue, do a search on here and send it to that...

Well, I searched to see if anyone has done this and couldn't find anything. The days are numbered on my wifes x5 tranny. I found one out of a 2004 3.0i, how do I figure out if it will fit?

Well...I thought my wife was crazy until I searched on here for this issue and found others experiencing it as well....

I just put a new Tstat in figuring that had something to do with it, but...

Funny, I hear ya... I change my tranny every 40k miles, it has 130k on it and still works great...we will see how long it lasts....

I change the transfer case every 20k, only holds a qt or...

We are going to keep it until the wheels fall off....

The repair is better than from the factory, with the mod done, it is using more splines than it was originally, plus with the new splines on...

Tom charged $515 including shipping. I sent it to him on Tuesday, he received the shaft on Thursday, he had it fixed and shipped it out to me the next day. I received it on Monday.

Hi beewhy,

Just finished mine a week ago. Shaft came back from Tom, was perfect. Just an fyi, I did not remove my exhaust or heat shield, I worked around it. I used a drill bit to make a hole...

Well, I've exhausted a search on here for this issue. My wife's X5 quit working yesterday at an intersection. Great news! Had it towed home and I just got back from work and checked it out.
