Will the dealer willingly perform these updates under CPO even if there arent any issues with the runnability of the car?

Any idea of the SIB #'s?

Interesting. I wonder if there is a TSB for a software update on the 4.8is?

I changed the fuel filter yesterday, more so because the car has 71k miles and thought it would be a good thing...

Any other ideas? I am about to throw a new fuel filter on. Probably not the culprit, but it has never been replaced and figured it would be a good idea....

I have a 2005 X5 4.8is with about 71k miles now and have had some difficulty starting it. It starts fine first thing in the morning, but after I have driven the car and let it sit for 1 to 2 hours...
