That was going to be the next thing to check. Although - most of the DISA leaks caused both P0174 and p0171. Did you have both, or just 0174?

Do you think a little RTV sealant would do the trick?...

stumped on P0174 (only)..

Bmw x3, 2005

recently changed the oil pan gasket. After complete, the SES light is on. OBDII is reporting P0174 only (no P0171), clearing the faults doesn't turn the light or remove the code.

i did try m and mode button... tapping and holding. turning the car off then back on and trying again all sequences.

i guess my alternatives...

First off - thanks to Brian-BMW for the part numbers to make my own cable..

i built the cable with according to bmw manual with the 0.22uf capacitors and 300kOhm resistor. Plugged L/R into pins...
