Passenger vent blowing but no air

The rear passenger vent is blowing. You can feel the air escape through the cup holder but air is not coming out of the vent. Fan control works fine, i.e. stops and starts the fan but no air flow.....

Yep.. my wife's door froze.. would not close on her '04 X5 on Monday. I had to replace it last year... $600 at dealer (will do it myself next time).

She says there appears to be no correlation of events. One time the car just shut off after lights on dash flashed. Other times radio just shut off.
