Had another transmission rebuild, 2.4k, then just drove it round to a showroom and px for a 525i 2007, Will be sadly missed but I can stop tearing out my hair!

Job was done at the dealers. they said he hoses were perished and leaking.

Sound similar to mine. had the subframe bushes replaced and all ok, clunked mainly on giving gas after slowing down to almost a shop. gave the odd 'pop'. Hope you find it.
