The high idle doens't bother me, it is really the low sputter and almost die for the first 2 seconds. Once the engine is running there are no other problems and I have no codes.

I thought I had this car all fixes up good, and it throws this at me. Car starter will not engage. It doesn't even try. I have almost 14 volts on the battery. So I know the batt and alt are good....

For anyone doing this job, I recommend ordering a new transmission thermostat with the tank. I cannot image a way to get the tank out without breaking it. The plastic is old and brittle.
