MID replacement
I went to pull out the MID unit in my 01 X5 and the lock you use the torx to twist is broken off. It looks like the previous owner attempted to open the unit and torqued the metal till it sheared....

If I floor the car, the RPM's stall at about 4000 and then again around 5000. If I ease on the gas there is no problems but quick cceleraion is impossible. Also the transmission shifts very hard...
