Minor but possible positive.
I put all back...

I put all back together, still no start of course, but with the battery connected and the key in the on position I get continuity from the grn/wht wire on the back...

I wish I could get that link to work but I get blocked by Java security and I can't seem to find a way around it.
I have not thoroughly checked the fuses in the back right...

My battery light was on in the dash but the charging system all checked out fine. I was checking the two wire connector on the alternator for broken wires or just a bad...

Pressurized the intake and found a small vac leak coming from the crank vent valve mounted to the back of the intake manifold. I replaced it. It has a small tear in the diaphram.

From the front of the engine: 1-4 passenger side 5-8 drivers side.
As mentioned before, I've done this procedure to 4 M62TU engines. All were done on my personal cars.

As much as I hate to take the cam covers off...
As much as I hate to take the cam covers off AGAIN, I think I should concentrate on the cam timing being out of range. see the charts on page one.
