It's almost definitely the Final Stage Resistor (FSR). Check on the homepage for a good DIY, and get the part online ($75 or so, IIRC). Give yourself an hour to do it if you've not attempted it...

Unless (like me) you must have a manual, I think it makes most sense to step up the 4.4i. Either will work, and IMO you don't need trailer brakes with a 3000lb load. Just make sure your pads are up...

I can't answer your question.

Are you sure it's the blower motor and not the final stage resistor? It's a very common fault and often leads to the symptom of "no front blower".
