I had a similar message when I first got the X5...for me it turned out to be that when I had my car in the garage and it was not locked(secure), my cell/bluetooth function would continue to function...

Where can I find the passkey for my 07 X5? It's says to check in the owners manual but for the 06 there's a specific number. Can you just make up a number and just pair it to your phone?

Finally picked up the 4.8 last night and it rained today so nothing fancy as of yet but here are pics as promised. I couldn't get a good pic of the HUD but I'll work on it.

I'm pretty sure the DVDs load into the console beneath the actual player so that it can be accessed by the midrow passengers. I have not seen the player on in my X5 as I have yet to pick it up...
