I've had a key on my list for a while, but I have AAA and a bluetooth tracker for the one I do have. The tile (which is fantastic by the way) was much cheaper than a new comfort access key from BMW.

The antennas look good. If its what I think it is, yours is super easy to fix. I replaced my CA rear bumper antenna in about 3 minutes last year.

As far as I can tell there's no reason to believe...

Do first gen BMW ‘smart’ keys fail?

This one is a head scratcher.

2010 E70 3.0

Comfort access

It’s out! Honestly it wasn’t too bad. I pulled the fuel rail & injectors this morning. They were pretty fouled anyways so I gave them a cleaning.

Once the fuel rail was out I had nice 90 degree...

Broken valve cover bolt n52k

Welp. My torque wrench must have failed me, or I got a seriously defective bolt with my new VC.

On the plus side it’s in a fairly easy place to work. On the bad side, it’s seriously in there. I...

Suspected E70 N52 PCV valve failure

Pretty sure the PCV valve has failed on my 2010 e70.

Oil fill cap is still fairly easy to remove by hand while the engine is running, however, there is definitely a vacuum on the cap.

The...

Yeah, I got mine loose no problem with a smallish (18 inch) 1/2 drive breaker. It just didn’t take nearly as much effort as I was expecting. The car is about to spend a week at the dealer to have the...

Oil filter housing alignment

Is it possible to missalign when reinstalling? I noticed that mine is definitely not exactly where it was when I removed it after I torqued the bolts down. Do I need to loosen it up and realign or am...

The bolt heads on the harmonic balancer for my e70 30i (n52) are super rusty. I’m afraid I’ll snap a bolt head off if I try and use one to instal the ac stretch belt. (It’s the 4 bolt pattern, not a...
