Just thought I'd update this thread 2 years later...

Just thought I'd update this thread 2 years later in case anyone was ever interested. I have put 25,000 miles on the Cardone PN 74-10055 MAF that I bought on Ebay for $30 and it's been totally fine....

Thank you for the explanation. My x5 is a 09/00 build so I’m sure I will have this issue with the 05 seats. Might be easier for me to find black rear seatbacks that match my latch configuration

I am no fan of Cardone mechanical parts like recirculating ball steering gears. I can't say I've ever used a remanufactured electronic component from them before. I'll report back with how it goes....
