Vacuum hose troubles

Hi everyone,
Among other things wrong with my 2001 X5 3.0, I found the vents are the only position that works. I got looking at the vacuum hose I found it not to be working. See attached picture....

Had a lot of home time this week so got to do...

Had a lot of home time this week so got to do some tinkering. The brakes are now 100%.

The skid plate and pad was covered in engine oil, not differential oil. I ran the heck out of the engine...
