I use non-RFT with a tire repair kit and portable air compressor in my trunk. Additionally I also have a AAA membership, which should be mandatory when owning any BMW lol

I've read of other users experiencing RDC failure on their E70s as well. An alternative option would be to code the vehicle from TPMS to FTM (flat tire monitoring).
