The "limp mode" is usually triggered when the air/fuel ratio or other parameters are so out of whack that there is a risk of damage with allowing full range of rpms.

Maybe 90%...

I remain concerned that they are thinking replacing a seal that is designed to hold air will contain an oil leak!

There should be NO oil in the air system.... Oil gets there from a turbo issue...

There should be no oil in there, so a leak there should not lead to oil leaking.... if there is oil leaking it is...

The campaign for the temp sensor and programming is known, and a good fix so far- no concerns about that, IMO.

Bummer about the turbo. My guess is you will get a new turbo for sure- no dealer...
