I don’t really have any other electrical issues in the car other than the horn not working so I’m hopeful that the issue is not the JBE since it’s pretty expensive.

So I’m in a pretty big dilemma and wanted to get the experts opinion on this. I was replacing the Transmisson oil and filter for my x5 ... it has about 150k miles and should’ve been done way before...

Agreed. Fortunately for cars that don’t have 4 zone climate control can get the one made by Pierburg for half the price. We re stuck with buying the original “BMW” one for around 500.
