Do you have any codes? The High beam on our cars are part of the bi-xenon system, meaning it's the same bulb as the low beam, and there's a moving piece that blocks the rest of the beam in low beam...

Wait, axles shouldn’t move linearly to their direction? I haven’t checked the fronts, my bad, but both rears slide back and forth about an inch in the hub-diff direction.

This apparently happened on my 35d 10k before I bought mine. PO put in a 70k mile diff at 190k miles after the rear blew up. I'm going to change the fluid sometime soon.
