These are my test results so far

1- EGR connected, MAF disconnected = wow some serious power, was little smoke on acceleration but guessing due to EGR
2 - EGR & MAF...

seen some places that charge around £25 for testing each injector on bench and rebuild if necessary

ideally rather than paying £150 and finding out no issue would prefer knowing if there a easier...

cool what i will do is once EGR valve arrives...

cool what i will do is once EGR valve arrives take it to the garage and get readings for the injectors again

im guessing there no need to disconnect the MAF for testing now?

injectors were at around -1.5 to +1.5 when car...

injectors were at around -1.5 to +1.5 when car was ideal, the Vac Pipe was disconnected at the time

using grade 5w 35 meets ll04 spec

it does not smoke when engine warm or accelerating ...

It's a mixture of smells I say diesel but could be oil also as the is a taint of blue in the smoke

Smell is a bit oily if going to be honest

Just called garage who serviced the car it was...

Just called garage who serviced the car it was done before I purchased it

They said it was BMW long life oil LL04 But not Castrol

Gearbox error code

Took x5 in for smoking issue

Upon the scan it had error code for gearbox something along lines

- oil deteriorated
- level to high
- permanent

Just checked oil again it's not black more browny...
