Slow surfing and page loads
 

Of late I notice that surfing the site is very slow. Page loads take more than 30 seconds at time. Is that because we are getting too many hits?:dunno: As it usually happens in evenings and at time I get "page cannot be displayed" and have to reload. I have a 6MB connection. Can't wait for the version 2.

I have a 10MB connection and have occasionally noticed the same thing. Assumed it must be due to upgrades/changes being made.

I thought it was just me.

correct.... some database stuff going on, and maintenance for upgrades... this should be over soon..

If I remember right, vbulletin 3.5.x has this server flood protection than whatn you load up a lot of pages from the forum at the same time, it'll time some of them out on purpose.

same one time it even rejected me and took me a page and told me detabase was backing up

I found Personal Messages the worst, I must admit is the first problem I have had since coming here ! So keep the good work up MOD's!!
