Slow surfing and page loads
Of late I notice that surfing the site is very slow. Page loads take more than 30 seconds at time. Is that because we are getting too many hits? As it usually happens in evenings and at time I get "page cannot be displayed" and have to reload. I have a 6MB connection. Can't wait for the version 2.

I have a 10MB connection and have occasionally noticed the same thing. Assumed it must be due to upgrades/changes being made.

correct.... some database stuff going on, and maintenance for upgrades... this should be over soon..

If I remember right, vbulletin 3.5.x has this server flood protection than whatn you load up a lot of pages from the forum at the same time, it'll time some of them out on purpose.

same one time it even rejected me and took me a page and told me detabase was backing up

I found Personal Messages the worst, I must admit is the first problem I have had since coming here ! So keep the good work up MOD's!!
