question on oem style 87
does any 1 nows how i could tell if the 87's rims? i find a set in my area but when i look @ them it looks alittle funny. on the in side on the rims i c it says made in Italy & on the out side ot the rims i notice the the BMW stamped with the part # & the size of the rim with the psi# & when i went to Real Oem and punch in the part# it showed the rims wow! can anyone help
|
If the stampings say "BMW" (and not BWM) and have a BMW part number stamped into them then it's a good bet that they are OEM rims. As far as I recall, the OEM rims do not say "Made in Italy"

thanks for answering my post. but it look like it said BMW & not BWM i got to look @ that again. and that made in Italy i dont know any 1 else care to share intel on dis matter?

Fwiw, my oe style 69s, were made in Italy...
I seem to recall several styles of oe wheels were made there, as are some made in Mexico. They sound legit, from afar... GL, mD |
The OEM style 87 says made in italy on the back.
