Got a flat in the front. Since it's AWD couldn't find a shop that would replace just 1 or 2 or 3 no it had to be on 4 tires. Of course that didn't have any in stock anywhere. I went with Les Schwab. They've always been good to me. Here they are.

$1400 for proxes ST II ??? Above $900 for those and you got ripped off big time. sorry man.

why couldn't you just replace one? did you have the STs before? Because I had the same problem where one went flat and called Toyo and they gave me a credit (based on tread left) and it costed me $70 a tire for 3 and I bought the last one.

They retail at about $160 for 275/40R20 and $260 for 315/35R20... so no way it should cost you $1400. Get your money back.

what rims are on with those tires?

I think dealer quoted me something like that once, so I went with discount tire instead. Not sure if dealer has better coverage when you have flat/cupping/im-balance etc but they usually charge more that regualr tire stores. Not sure if OP went with dealer on those toyo.

I went to Les Schwab. I paid too much. That's what I get for not asking for advice on where to get tires. :banghead:

Paid a little too much, but you can't get those tires installed for less than about $1050 by a reputable shop in my area (02 4.4i sport package that is). Does that price include an alignment, nitrogen, high-speed on-car balancing or anything besides basic install?

Good choice though. The new tread pattern is supposed to have eliminated tire noise as they wear. I will be going ST II's as well in the next few months.

Also, tires are supposed to be replaced in pairs at minimum. Only good time to replace just one is when there is only VERY minimal wear/mileage on the other tire on the same axle.

I believe he has 19" rims. I went to Les Swab last week and they quoted me around $1400 for tires, balancing and tax included.

18" were around 780.00 Everything included.

That's why always ask for out the door price, some tire stores charge more than others on valve/stem/disposal/balancing etc.
And for me I live at the county border, one county charge 9.5% sales and the other 7.9%.
