Try these guys....worth a phone call - Premier Insurance, 01207592222. They are based in Country Durham, and I was introduced to them by family from Newcastle some years back now and I just don't use anyone else any more. I got X5 insurance without any need for a Tracker and its around £400 a year - I've tried all the price comparison sites and never get to anything like these guys offer me ever, they do whole of market and are an excellent brokerage - I've moved all our cars to them over time as the rates and service have been so good.

is your X a regular RHD uk car, just wondering cos you say you have been abroad for a few years with it.I have a USA import that I bought back from California with me and I pay Direct Line 430 plus 135 for a tracker, not to bad I think for a LHD car.:thumbup:

Try Swiftcover i am with them and they don't require a tracker (there's an option to tick on the website) and were the cheapest by a country mile for me:D.There were a few cheaper but with less coverage.
